Nutritional Plan Winter 2009
Cygnet Catering will make every effort to cater for special dietary needs, however this cannot always be guaranteed. Our ability to do so will depend upon the complexity of the requirement and the type of service being provided to the school. It may not be possible to cater for every requirement in all of our catering operations. Within our fresh cook on site service, special dietary requests are routinely handled by the Catering Manager on site and referred to our Nutritionist where specialist support or advice is required.
Special Dietary requests relating to our Packed Lunch, Delivered In Hot Meal and Simplicity Services are all referred to our Nutrition Department and must be supported by a completed Special Diet Request Form, countersigned by the Headteacher. Our dedicated nutritionist will oversee the compilation of a suitable menu and confirm if it is possible, within the service, to provide a meal each day to meet the specific needs of the diner.
In accordance with Government Standards, all our menus for meals provided in primary schools are nutritionally analysed to ensure full compliance.
Secondary and special school menus will be fully compliant by September 2009, in accordance with Government Regulations.
